Harvest of Hope Foundation Upcoming Fundraisers & Events
In addition to direct financial donations, Harvest of Hope Foundation is reliant on a variety of fund-raising events and activities to generate monies to aid migrant farmworkers and their families. Students of all ages have organized fund-raisers from car washes to auctions. Music bands have put on benefit concerts. Donations of antiques, collectibles and memorabilia are accepted to sell to raise funds. The following are upcoming fund-raising events. Against Me! Benefit Concert at St. Augustine Farigrounds
HARVEST OF HOPE FEST - ALL AGES EVENT!
Dates: March 6th, 7th, & 8th 2009
Location: St.John's County Fairgrounds (website),
St. Augustine, Florida
Bands:A 3-day outdoor event featuring music, art, film and other events to support migrant farmworkers!
Hear over 100 bands (from acoustic to hard rock) play their hearts out to support the Harvest of Hope Foundation for migrant farmworkers.
Camping and camping facilities will be available all weekend!
There will be a multitude of food and beverage vendors, as well as large vending areas available to non-profits, local businesses and progressive organizations!
The festival will be a diverse event focusing being open and enjoyable to people of all ages as well as being environmentally friendly!
Since 1997, the Harvest of Hope Foundation, a family run non-profit organization out of Gainesville, Florida has distributed more than $675,000 in emergency and educational aid to field laborers of fruits, vegetables and other foods.
Join No Idea Records and Southern Lovin' Publicity of Gainesville, Florida, and the St. John's Fairgrounds in supporting the unique, progressive and special work of the Harvest of Hope Foundation.

Against Me! Benefit Concerts for Diane Olalde

The Harvest of Hope Foundation, which Against Me! is proud to support, is currently seeking donations towards the cost of a life-saving bone marrow transplant for 6-year old Diana Olalde of Tifton, Georgia. Diaa was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in May 2006 and was treated with chemotherapy, but then suffered a relapse in August this year. Her doctors are now saying that she must have a bone marrow transplant within a month, but the approximate cost of such a transplant can cost $500,000 or more.
